Job summary
Aerotek is seeking a Construction Laborer to install, inspect, repair, and service temporary liquid handling systems on various commercial and industrial sites. You will meet at the shop each morning, load materials, and travel with a small crew to perform installations and maintenance, leading and training field technicians along the way.
The role emphasizes hands-on work, safe practices, and quality workmanship across projects such as dewatering, bypasses, flood relief, and industrial plant
Qualifications
- 3+ years of craft or mechanical trade experience.
- Proven experience with mechanical assembly including assembling pumps and piping.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Hands-on experience with pump assembly, pump repair, and liquid handling systems.
- Experience in construction labor environments, including industrial and commercial sites.
- OSHA 10 certification and valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Meet at the shop each morning to assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- Travel with a crew to commercial and industrial job sites.
- Lay out, assemble, and maintain piping, pumps, filtration units, and related equipment.
- Lead and train field technicians with safe work practices and quality workmanship.
- Perform hands-on tasks including installation and maintenance of pump and piping systems.
- Read work orders to determine tasks, materials, and equipment needs.
- Select pipe sizes, fittings, and materials per project specifications.
- Load, transport, and unload materials safely using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Secure pipes and equipment according to specifications and ensure system integrity.
- Inspect installed systems using tests and gauges to verify operation.
