Pacific Defense is seeking a candidate with extensive field experience and leadership skills to deploy critical technologies and capabilities to customers and market movers. The role involves transitioning systems from lab testing to customer deployment, serving as the face of Pacific Defense during handoffs, and building training and maintenance materials based on hands-on experience in field operations and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-starting, and resilient. Experience in the military, especially with Radio, SIGINT, rapid field deployment, US Army EW operations, communications, or maintenance techs, is highly desirable. Experience modifying ground vehicles (civilian and military) is also valuable.

You will report to the Integration and Test group, leading deployment teams and field service responses. These teams deploy products during government demonstrations, trade shows, and customer field services, with numerous deployments annually contributing to company growth.

Pacific Defense develops a variety of CMOSS/SOSA-aligned products, including chassis and specialized circuit cards for Timing/Position, communications, Electronic Warfare, and maintenance support. We integrate third-party products into our modular open systems architecture (MOSA).

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Highly motivated
• System engineering acumen
• Comfortable troubleshooting software and hardware
• Familiar with RF fundamentals and test equipment
• Experience with US Army and/or USMC ground vehicles; USN, USAF, and USCG experience is valued
• Desire to learn new technologies
• Strong leadership perceived by peers
• Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences
• Comfortable in various settings (lab, field events, customer demos)
• Ability to travel (negotiable)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a Field Service Representative team
• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather field and customer feedback for product improvement
• Learn from SMEs to become technically proficient with new technologies
• Become an expert operator of Pacific Defense’s systems and represent the company in the field
• Lead through example and guidance, ensuring alignment with company goals
• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for deployments
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during development and deployment
• Develop deployment plans for systems
• Create and maintain documentation related to integration, testing, and deployment
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
• Mentor junior team members
