Job summary

You will plan boundary, topographic, construction layout, and control surveys, ensuring accurate data collection and safe field practices while delivering projects efficiently. As the crew chief, you’ll direct field staff, operate and maintain equipment, review data for quality, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of field surveying experience.
• 1–2 years in a crew chief or lead role.
• Experience with GPS and robotic total stations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct field survey activities per project requirements and standards.
• Supervise and train field staff in surveying methods and safety.
• Perform field surveys using GPS, robotic total stations, levels.
• Collect and review data for accuracy and quality control.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and office staff.
• Maintain field notes and data records accurately.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and legal compliance.
