Job summary

FlatironDragados in Lumberton, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Survey Party Chief to ensure accuracy in control lines, elevations, contours and land features, guiding project management and crews.

You will perform topographic and cross-section surveys, assist with quantity calculations, layout work, and verify as-built conditions, with opportunities to lead field staff and collaborate with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years’ survey and land mapping experience required.
• LSIT Certification
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proven leadership skills.
• Ability to train and direct staff on a project site.

Responsibilities

• Provide work control lines and elevations for accurate measurement.
• Assist in evaluating potential dimensions and field problems.
• Perform layout work as directed by the survey manager.
• Check as-built conditions using surveying techniques.
• Provide topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and payment quantities.
• Assist with quantity calculations as required.
