Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Party Chief.
• Proficiency with survey equipment and field data collection.
• Knowledge of state plane coordinates and geodetic concepts.
• Strong math skills and accurate field note documentation.

Responsibilities

• Organize crew manpower and resources to perform survey tasks efficiently.
• Manage daily field assignments, equipment use, data collection, and notes.
• Ensure field activities meet company and industry standards.
• Enforce safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Communicate daily with Field Supervisor/Project Manager.
• Conduct daily data downloads and prepare logs and reports.
• Mentor Rod Person/Instrument Tech on daily tasks.
• Drive to job sites as needed.
