Job summary

Encompass Energy Services seeks a qualified Survey Party Chief to lead field crews in construction staking and boundary/topographic surveys in Atlanta, GA. You will setup and operate Trimble equipment, perform calculations, and produce accurate field notes while maintaining gear and coordinating a team in varying outdoor conditions.

Must have 5+ years as a survey party chief, strong knowledge of Trimble systems, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 years as survey party chief.
Experience with Trimble Access, Trimble Business Center and robotic total stations.
Knowledge of Trimble survey styles, calibration routines, and methodologies.
Experience with boundary and ALTA/NSPS surveys.

Responsibilities

Work as a survey crew performing construction staking.
Setup, operate and validate accuracies of survey equipment including data-collector, digital level, and GPS system.
Perform and verify survey related mathematical calculations.
Prepare and maintain field notes and sketches for all work performed.
Perform stakeout and location surveys using survey equipment.
Maintain survey equipment and keep survey truck stocked with supplies.
Coordinate work of assigned personnel.
Assist and train junior personnel.
Make accuracy checks and adjustments on equipment.
