Hubbard Construction Company is seeking a Field and Survey Engineer to supervise surveyors across multiple projects, perform surveys, and develop drawings for construction layouts. The role emphasizes accuracy, coordination with engineers, and hands-on field work.

The position requires 5+ years in survey within construction highway projects, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure. A Part 107 drone license is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Requires demonstrable previous experience as a Survey Engineer.
• 5+ years survey experience in construction highway projects is required.
• Knowledge of construction technique and practices, paving, underground, concrete, and grading required.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
• Ability to effectively work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Have or be able to obtain a Part 107 Drone Pilots license.

Responsibilities

• Provides survey calculations for survey teams to perform field operations.
• QC field measurements performed by field survey team.
• Provides construction layout as requested by supervision including control lines and elevations.
• Survey the existing conditions of the future work site to prevent conflicts with utility lines.
• Provides layout with control lines and elevations required for construction by staking points and line locations.
