The City of Tucson’s Department of Transportation and Mobility is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead a field surveying team and conduct land surveys for construction and development projects. You will supervise survey personnel, ensure data accuracy, and prepare reports and maps summarizing findings.

Strong planning and coordination with engineers and contractors are essential. Required are two years of related experience, 6 months post-high school education, and a valid Arizona Class D driver

Qualifikationen

• Two (2) years of relevant experience.
• 6 months post high school.
• Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Valid and unrestricted Arizona Class D Driver License.

Aufgaben

• Guides survey crew staff, assigns tasks and ensures teamwork in the field while mentoring on equipment and best practices.
• Operates instruments to measure distances, angles, elevations and other topographical elements and records observations.
• Audits field notes to confirm data accuracy and ensures surveys meet project requirements and specifications.
• Prepares detailed reports, maps and documentation, and analyzes data for accuracy; coordinates with contractors and engineers.
