Job summary

True Environmental seeks an experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead field teams across New York and New Jersey, delivering boundary, ALTA, topographic and pipeline surveys with precision. You will supervise crews, process GNSS/Total Station data, and liaison with project managers to ensure quality deliverables for public and private clients.

The role requires leadership, self-starting initiative, and willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed, with a starting pay range of $42-46 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a survey field party chief.
• Experience performing boundary, topographic, utility, pipeline surveying, and construction stake out.
• Commercial boating/ATV survey experience is a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a survey crew in pipeline, boundary, ALTA, topographic, stake-out, and utility surveys.
• Interface with project managers regarding task performance and QC field data.
• Prepare field notes, photographs, sketches, and detailed reports.
• Ensure survey equipment maintenance and calibration is current.
• Train junior team members and uphold safety procedures.
• Represent the company professionally with clients and the public.
