Job summary

Matrix New World Engineering, a part of True Environmental, seeks an experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead field teams on projects across New York and New Jersey. You will oversee pipeline, boundary, ALTA, topographic, stake‑out and utility surveys, and coordinate data download and processing with project managers.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years as a survey field party chief, hands‑on experience with total stations and GNSS, and the ability to travel and stay overnight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a survey field party chief.
• Experience performing boundary, topographic, utility, pipeline surveying, and construction stake out.
• Must be skilled in operating from boats and ATVs and using electronic total stations, GNSS, and levels.
• Self-starter with strong leadership and ability to travel to various project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead a survey crew in pipeline, boundary, ALTA, topographic, stake-out and utility surveys.
• Interface with project managers regarding project tasks and data delivery.
• QC of all field data and preparation of notes, sketches, and reports.
• Ensure survey equipment maintenance, calibration, and vehicle upkeep.
