Job summary

GPAC Construction in Columbus seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on a diverse portfolio of commercial projects. You will own on-site execution, coordinate subcontractors, and drive safety, scheduling, and quality across multiple teams.

You will collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, and stakeholders to keep projects on track and within plans. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes proactive problem solving and clear communication

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Construction Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and project execution.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction operations from project mobilization through completion.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitor jobsite safety and enforce established safety procedures.
• Ensure construction activities meet project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Work closely with project managers, owners, architects, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify potential project challenges and proactively develop solutions.
• Monitor jobsite progress and provide regular updates on project status.
• Maintain organized jobsite documentation, reports, and daily logs.
