Job summary

Brindley Engineering is seeking an experienced field-drafter/engineer to assist engineers and lead designers in field evaluations of industrial structures, capturing measurements for BIM 3D and 2D AutoCAD drawings of engineering packages.

The role involves leading field evaluations, drafting complex structural drawings, developing evaluation reports, and mentoring junior drafters, with exposure to several BIM tools and CAD software. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Education: 2-year technical degree.
Experience: Minimum 8+ years.
Proficient with 2D AutoCAD and BIM 3D Modelling (CADWorx, S3D, E3D).
Exposure to Bluebeam; Advance Steel preferred; Microsoft Office; and REVIT experience.

Responsibilities

Lead field evaluations and measurements of structures to develop repair or replacement drawings.
Design/draft complex structural drawings of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
Lead in the development of design portions of evaluation reports.
Quality control of drafting produced by others.
Develop plans for and drive to implement new applications for existing and emerging technologies.
Technical oversight of less experienced drafters.
