Job summary

Brindley Engineering Corporation in Lisle, IL seeks a detail-oriented engineering assistant to support field evaluations of existing structures and to develop BIM 3D and 2D AutoCAD drawings of engineered sketches, ensuring accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include field measurements, developing repair drawings for steel, concrete, wood and masonry, leading design portions of evaluation reports, and reviewing drawings by others; you will also explore new design tools and technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years in structural drawings or field evaluation.
• Proficient with 2D AutoCAD and BIM 3D modelling tools.
• Experience with CADWorx, S3D, E3D, and REVIT preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication required.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in field evaluations and measurements of structures.
• Develop BIM 3D and 2D AutoCAD drawings of engineered sketches.
• Produce detailed structural drawings for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
• Lead design portions of evaluation reports and review others' drawings.
• Support development of new design tools and technologies.
