Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years commercial experience in field plumbing, sprinkler or heating operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all on-site activity regarding manpower, materials and scheduling.
• Ensures safety is the number one priority on the job-site.
• Conducts appropriate preplanning when assigned a new job.
• Directs all coordination issues and attends all relevant meetings.
• Minimizes downtime by scheduling all work to be performed.
• Ensures productivity standards are being met or exceeded.
• Handles all orders and deliveries efficiently.
• Communicates regularly with the Project Manager.
• Walks the job daily to inspect progress, quality, and safety.
• Manages personnel, subs and vendors appropriately.
• Closes out each job by ensuring all final testing is complete.
• Cleans up and demobilizes each job before completion.

Skills

Ability to read blueprints

Knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation

Ability to fabricate offsets

Working knowledge of all hand and power tools

Able to do basic take offs

Able to install equipment

Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity

Education

High School or GED Equivalent
