Job summary

Walmart in Norman, OK is seeking an HVAC/R technician to install, service and maintain commercial refrigeration and climate control systems. You will interpret blueprints, calibrate direct digital controls, and coordinate preventive maintenance across facilities while following safety and EPA 608 protocols.

You will mentor apprentices, diagnose complex issues, and drive service calls within a regional area.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field. Hold EPA Type I and II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.

Responsibilities

• Install and service HVAC/R systems across commercial facilities.
• Calibrate and configure direct digital controls and low ambient systems.
• Lead field teams and mentor apprentices on procedures and safety.
