Job summary

ProSidian seeks a Senior Civil/Structural Field Engineer – Construction to support Environmental Management requirements at Savannah River Site, Aiken, SC. This role involves overseeing field construction activities, design coordination, hazard analysis, and quality control within a DOE contractor environment.

You will lead job planning, material takeoffs, procurement support, permits, and field execution while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of construction engineering principles.
• Working knowledge of discipline-specific codes and standards.
• Experience generating computer-based construction work execution plans or work packages, including hazard analyses.
• Capability to obtain qualification to work in radiation/contamination areas.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee field construction procurement, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of systems and components.
• Coordinate with design agencies for timely issuance of new designs and changes; resolve issues with engineers.
• Conduct constructability reviews; verify design output and code compliance.
• Develop Bills of Materials and track material delivery and procurement.
• Prepare hazard analyses and work execution plans; lead or support reviews.
• Coordinate permits and job-specific authorizations; manage work-control documentation.
• Lead pre-job briefings; supervise field activities and verify material readiness.
• Ensure quality and documentation accuracy; participate in turnover and startup.
