Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Feed Mill Supervisor to oversee daily operations in the feed mill, ensuring efficient production of high-quality poultry feed. You will lead staff, coordinate with QA, maintenance, and live production teams, and drive safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising production, ensuring feed formulation accuracy, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and analyzing metrics to improve processes and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; higher degree preferred in agriculture or related field.
• 3+ years in feed mill operations or similar production.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of feed formulation and quality control.
• Familiarity with FDA/USDA/FSMA regulations.
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Production Management: Supervise and coordinate feed mill operations to ensure efficient feed production.
• Team Leadership: Manage and train feed mill operators and production staff.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and feed safety protocols; oversee sampling and testing.
• Maintenance & Equipment Oversight: Coordinate with maintenance on machinery, schedule routine upkeep, and identify upgrades.
• Inventory & Logistics Management: Monitor raw material and feed inventory; coordinate deliveries with live production teams.
• Safety & Environmental Compliance: Enforce safety procedures and environmental regulations; provide training.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Maintain records and analyze data to identify process improvements.
