Job summary

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in feed mill environments, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of feed formulation and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s preferred.
• 3+ years in feed mill or similar production environment.
• Supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of feed formulation, processing, and quality control.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for animal feed production.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting for mill equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate feed mill operations to ensure efficient production.
• Monitor ingredient mixing, grinding, and pelletizing to maintain quality.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory of materials and finished feed.
• Manage and train mill operators and production staff.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
• Promote safety, efficiency, and teamwork in the mill.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (FDA, USDA, FSMA) and feed safety protocols.
• Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting with the maintenance team.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate deliveries with live production teams.
• Analyze production data and implement efficiency improvements.
