Job summary

ECC is seeking a licensed Architect or Professional Engineer to lead federal design-build projects across the U.S. and globally. The role requires 5–15 years of design experience and strong leadership of multidisciplinary A/E teams.

The position emphasizes expanded project leadership beyond traditional roles, with a salary range in the San Antonio area and comprehensive benefits. Candidates must maintain top communication with stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible design experience.
• Experience coordinating multiple technical disciplines and leading design efforts.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary subcontracted A/E teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the design management lead on complex federal design-build projects.
• Help guide projects from proposal development through final design and construction support.
• Support a diverse portfolio of federal projects including facilities, infrastructure, utilities, airfields, waterfront and shipyard developments, industrial facilities, site improvements, and other mission-critical programs.
• Apply technical expertise, broaden leadership skills, and work alongside experienced design and construction professionals on projects with lasting impact.
• Other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned as needed.
