Responsibilities

• Prioritize assigned maintenance work to properly execute emergency breakdown response.
• Report to immediate supervisor items affecting or potentially affecting proper and safe operation of plant and equipment.
• Maintain an acceptable backlog of planned maintenance activity.
• Run service calls, repairing plumbing, electrical, mechanical and other equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain inventory of hospital standard finishes for repairs.
• Assist the Director or Manager on department systems and functions as directed.
• Report safety issues and work with the Director or Manager to determine action needed to correct.
• Develop new and update existing technical policies and procedures.
• Attend construction rounds and report any deficiencies.
• Assist the Manager or Director in scheduling workload, work order assignment and plant coverage as directed.
• Order necessary parts and equipment to maintain equipment.
• Troubleshoot systems and components, inspecting and completing service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Determine priority of jobs and make needed repairs.
• Coordinate with contractors on scheduling and repairing equipment.
• Coordinate utility shutdown requests with departments and contractors to ensure proper workflow.
• Respond to water intrusion events quickly to minimize loss and prevent mold formation.
• Monitor and record moisture levels.
• Trace roof leaks and report on roof conditions.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Primary Location: Burnet Campus. Schedule: Full time, Shift Day. Department: Building Maintenance. Employee Status: Regular FTE. Weekly Hours: 40. Expected Starting Pay Range: $32.47 - $41.40 annually based on FTE status.
