CGL Facilities Management in Valdosta, GA seeks a Lead Facilities Reliability Engineer to lead technical discussions with clients, coordinate crews, and ensure quality as the primary QC inspector. The role blends leadership duties with hands-on maintenance of critical building systems.

The position involves preventive and corrective work on HVAC, electrical, gas, life safety, and security systems, plus CMMS record-keeping, vendor coordination, and after-hours emergency response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of skilled maintenance and/or commercial facilities experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and as-built drawings.
• Licenses in one or more disciplines preferred.
• Proficiency with CMMS platforms and computer literacy.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership & client interface: act as the technical spokesperson during client meetings; guide the crew, assign schedules, and oversee quality as the primary QC inspector.
• Hands-on maintenance (up to ~80%): execute and verify preventive and corrective work on HVAC, electrical, gas, life safety, and security systems; prioritize daily work orders.
• Vendor and subcontractor oversight: coordinate requisitioned work to ensure full contract compliance and timely delivery.
• Administration & safety: maintain CMMS records; uphold OSHA-compliant, clean, safe workspace.
• Emergency response: respond to emergencies and handle after-hours calls.
