Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of hands-on building maintenance experience.

  • Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to navigate CMMS.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

  • Execute facility repairs including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Respond to emergencies and diagnose critical infrastructure issues.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics for installations and repairs.
  • Manage work orders and inventory in CMMS.

About the Role

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a key technical resource responsible for the operational integrity and physical upkeep of our properties. You will leverage your expertise in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure our facilities remain safe and fully functional for all occupants.

Responsibilities
  • Execute comprehensive facility repairs, including electrical troubleshooting, plumbing fixture maintenance, and carpentry tasks to ensure optimal building performance.
  • Implement and maintain a rigorous preventative maintenance schedule for HVAC and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service requests, utilizing diagnostic tools to resolve critical infrastructure issues such as water leaks or electrical failures.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic drawings to accurately install or repair complex building components.
  • Manage work order documentation through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track labor, parts inventory, and project status.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant work environment by adhering to OSHA standards, managing hazardous materials properly, and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster a culture of skill development and operational excellence.
Required Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of hands‑on experience in building maintenance or a related skilled trade.
  • Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repair techniques.
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to navigate digital work order systems.

Preferred Skills
  • EPA 608 Certification for refrigerant handling.
  • Formal Skilled Trade Certification or vocational training.
  • Experience with building automation systems and advanced diagnostic equipment.
