Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction seeks a Maintenance Specialist for the Rehabilitation & Correction - Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville, OH. The role includes lead supervision of inmates in skilled maintenance tasks and performing electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and grounds work.

The position requires hands-on maintenance experience, adherence to safety protocols, a valid CDL if applicable, and participation in facility inspections.

Competenze

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in maintenance repair.

Mansioni

• Lead worker over inmates or staff in semi-skilled and skilled maintenance repair (electrical, carpentry, grounds, plumbing).
• Perform maintenance repairs on equipment (light fixtures, outlets, switches, motors, appliances).
• Repair carpentry items (doors, locks, cabinets, furniture).
• Repair plumbing equipment (pipes, fixtures, pumps, valves).
• Perform interior custodial duties (mops, waxes, cleans).
• Handle exterior grounds keeping tasks and snow removal.
• Inspect buildings and equipment for needed repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance in assigned areas.
• Operate machine tools and welding equipment for metal parts repairs.
• Ensure tool security and inventories.
• Assist related crafts as required.
• Control inmate movement in assigned areas; conduct searches.
