Integra LifeSciences operates a regulated medical device manufacturing environment at the Braintree site, where a Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician coordinates maintenance activities, ensures cGMP compliance with FDA and ISO 13485, and leads a team of technicians and contractors.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, plus overseeing CMMS, safety programs, audits, and vendor coordination to keep facilities

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 8–10+ years facilities maintenance experience with leadership roles.
• MA Wastewater License required.

Role Overview

Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician supports the reliable operation of a regulated medical device manufacturing environment at the Braintree site, coordinating maintenance, ensuring compliance with cGMP, FDA and ISO 13485, and leading a team of technicians and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Supervision
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate maintenance technicians and contractors.
  • Assign work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion.
  • Provide on‑job training and guidance.
  • Monitor performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintenance & Repair
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, compressed‑air systems, and general infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Ensure equipment operates optimally.
• Work Order & Asset Management
  • Manage CMMS for work‑order tracking, preventive maintenance scheduling, and asset documentation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state and company safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and enforce safe work practices.
  • Participate in audits and maintain regulatory readiness.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
  • Review contractor work for quality and compliance.
  • Assist in vendor selection and performance evaluation.
• Facility Operations Support
  • Support capital projects, renovations, and equipment installations.
  • Assist in budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Technical certification or associate degree in a related field (preferred).
• 8–10+ years of facilities maintenance experience, including leadership or lead role experience.
• MA Wastewater License (required).

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
• Electrical troubleshooting (low and medium voltage).
• Plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Experience with CMMS systems (Blue Mountain RAM preferred).
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ability to prioritize activities to meet production objectives without compromising safety, health, environmental, or quality requirements.

Leadership Skills

• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Certifications (Preferred)

• HVAC certification (EPA Universal).
• OSHA 10/30.
• Building Operator Certification (BOC) or similar.

Working Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work.
• May require shift work, weekend coverage, or on‑call availability.
• Work performed in indoor and outdoor environments, including mechanical rooms.

Reporting Structure

• Reports to: Senior Manager Facilities Engineering.
• Supervises: 4 Maintenance Technicians and contractors.

Salary

Pay Range: $34.28–$47.00 USD hourly. Base pay may be supplemented by bonus, commission, equity or other variable compensation.
