Job summary

Shp Management Corp is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for New York, NY. This full-time role oversees facilities maintenance, operations and security across multiple properties and supervises maintenance technicians, cleaners and porters.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of property operations experience, strong supervisory skills and a broad hands-on toolkit (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, roofing, flooring). On-call rotation and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience managing property operations and security
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Demonstrated supervisory role
• Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, maintenance, roofing, flooring
• Computer literate and adept at utilizing computer aided systems
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with a wide range of people
• Valid driver’s license; on-call rotation schedule

Responsibilities

• Manage facilities maintenance, operations and security across multiple properties
• Supervise maintenance technicians, cleaners and porters
• Maintain work order system and reporting
• Oversee preventative maintenance program
• Coordinate purchases and inventory; seek competitive bids
• Perform annual unit inspections and follow-up with work orders
• Respond to emergencies and contract work as needed
