Job summary

Mondo in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician for an onsite role. The position manages building systems, equipment, and facility operations to ensure a safe, functional site.

Responsibilities include maintaining HVAC, preventive maintenance scheduling, coordinating with contractors, supporting space planning, and partnering with the HSE team on protocols. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire with ASAP start and possible evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering, energy, cleanroom, specialty gas, mechanical contracting, facility management, or contractor management.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and flexibility to work evenings and weekends with limited notice.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot building equipment and machinery, including HVAC and temperature control systems.
• Maintain the Preventive Maintenance schedule by ensuring all PMs, audits, and inspections are completed on time and reflected in the work order system.
• Co-lead the facilities work order management system to ensure actions are completed on time and within scope.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs, equipment installation, and facility upgrades.
• Partner with the HSE team to drive HSE protocols and policies across the organization.
• Support space planning and layout creation activities for the Operations team.
• Participate in and report out on planned and ongoing projects, attending project review meetings to track progress and address challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics, industrial, mechanical, or facilities maintenance


• HVAC, Low Voltage, Electrical, or Mechanical certifications


• Familiarity with OSHA regulations, environmental health and safety guidelines, and local building and fire codes


• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude with the ability to analyze and apply new information and concepts
