cw is seeking a Lead Facility Maintenance Technician to act as the senior technical authority for building systems. You will oversee daily maintenance operations, mentor technicians, ensure quality workmanship, and serve as the primary escalation point for multi-trade troubleshooting across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

  • Multi-trade experience across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls and mechanical systems.
  • Experience as a technical escalation point for complex multi-trade issues.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians.
  • 7+ years in commercial/industrial oil field facility maintenance.
  • 3+ years in a lead or leadership role.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record; commercial license may be required.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • EPA 608 certification (state licensing a plus).
  • High school diploma or GED; associate degree or vocational training preferred.
  • Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and train maintenance technicians across all trades, ensuring safety and skill development.
  • Perform quality inspections on work orders to ensure safety, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex troubleshooting across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Guide technicians through root‑cause analysis and corrective action development.
  • Support onboarding and skill development for new technicians.
  • Coordinate with Planner/Scheduler to scope, sequence, and staff work orders.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems.
  • Respond to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Leverage knowledge of past projects and new technologies for project scoping through quotation.

Job Description Summary

The Lead Facility Maintenance Technician is the senior technical authority for all building systems and trades, combining expert‑level hands‑on capability with leadership responsibilities. This role oversees daily maintenance operations, trains and mentors technicians, ensures quality workmanship, and serves as the primary escalation point for complex troubleshooting across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, mechanical systems, and building operations. The Lead Technician sets the technical standard for the team, drives continuous improvement, and ensures safe, efficient, and compliant facility operations.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Demonstrated technical training and hands‑on proficiency across multiple trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Proven experience serving as the technical escalation point for complex multi‑trade issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in commercial or industrial oil field facility maintenance
  • Minimum of 3+ years within a lead or leadership role
  • Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record,(commercial license may be required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Technical proficiency with work order management systems (CMMS)
  • Current EPA 608 certification (state licensing is a plus but not required)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate's degree or vocational/technical school

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Role
  • Lead, mentor, and train maintenance technicians across all trades, ensuring consistent skill development and safe work practices.
  • Perform quality inspections on completed work orders to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex troubleshooting across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Guide technicians through root‑cause analysis and corrective action development.
  • Support onboarding and skill development for new technicians.
  • Coordinate with the Planner/Scheduler to ensure work orders are properly scoped, sequenced, and staffed.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include packaging and handling machinery, large air compressors, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop equipment, grounds equipment, and HVAC systems among others
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency
  • Leverage knowledge of past projects as well as new methodologies & technologies for use on project scoping through quotation and performance
Secondary Role
  • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and can paint walls, piping, floors and equipment
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, perform both reactive & preventative maintenance
  • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as fire alarm systems, fire pumps and related fire protection system equipment
  • Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and grounds maintenance
  • Comply with company dress code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property at times other than working hours
