Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Lead Facilities Engineer for our Newburyport site to oversee building systems, maintenance, and safety programs. You will manage a facilities team, partner with operations and site leaders, and ensure reliable operations across multiple locations including Marlborough and Waltham.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical work experience.
• 6+ years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification required.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Ability to read and understand technical plans/documents.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs and maintenance for all building systems, equipment and grounds.
• Ensure site meets Board of Pharmacy and other regulatory standards.
• Lead and develop a team of Facility Management Technicians.
• Complete preventative and corrective maintenance work.
• Lead response and resolution of facility emergencies to minimize disruptions.
• Ensure work orders are completed on time and within SLAs.
• Manage vendor and contractor partnerships, including scheduling and oversight.
• Budgeting, planning, and equipment upgrades in partnership with Finance.
• Advance safety, environmental and compliance standards across the site.
• Support risk management and change control processes for safe operations.
• Prepare for audits and maintain accurate documentation.
• Deliver strong customer service to internal teams and external partners.
