Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Facilities Engineer to support our AMF in Huntsville, AL. You will help design, procure, and install equipment for composite part fabrication and evaluate plant utilities to improve efficiency.

The role requires a hands-on leader who can coordinate with Manufacturing, Maintenance, and contractors to move processes from development to production, while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Travel about 10% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Graduate degree with years of related experience; senior level requires strong project leadership.
• Advanced understanding of facility utilities, controls, and systems.
• Experience with outside maintenance contractors and leading multi-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and evaluation of equipment to be procured.
• Plan, configure, and install equipment for composite part fabrication.
• Identify deficiencies in facilities and drive improvement projects.
• Evaluate plant utilities and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance to Engineering and Maintenance teams.
• Support capital planning and justification for funding.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors for facility performance.
• Troubleshoot facility controls, systems, and equipment and implement corrective actions.
• Support quality, safety, and environmental objectives.
• Occasional travel (~10%) to support equipment procurement.
