Job summary

Summit Public Schools in Seattle seeks a Dean of Expeditions to lead the Expeditions program at the site, ensure aligned implementation, and cultivate community partnerships that create real-world experiences for students.

The Dean will oversee roughly 10 faculty and staff, coordinate with network leadership, design student schedules, support mentor reflection, and foster a collaborative school culture that embodies Summit's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Teaching credential in the relevant state and prior teaching experience.
• Strong collaboration, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Google tools (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the acting Executive Director for 8 weeks of the year.
• Coach and support Expeditions teachers, staff, and contractors.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with community partners and oversee contracts.
• Design and manage student Expedition schedules and mentor reflection.
• Lead faculty, staff, students, and parents to uphold Summit’s mission and culture.
