Job summary

Summit Public Schools seeks a Dean of Expeditions for the Washington candidate pool. You will lead Expeditions rounds, coach staff, and cultivate community partnerships to offer meaningful experiences. You’ll coordinate schedules, support mentors, and help align student growth with the program’s goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a state Teaching Credential with prior teaching experience. Strong collaboration, communication, and project-management skills are essential, alongside

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• A Teaching Credential in the relevant state is required, as is prior teaching experience.

• Proficiency with Google platforms (Workspace) requested.

Responsibilities

• Lead Expeditions site as the acting Executive Director for 8 weeks annually.
• Coach Expeditions teachers, staff, and contractors; support PD planning.
• Develop community partnerships and manage partner contracts.
• Create student schedules and match experiences to passions and goals.
• Foster a strong faculty culture aligned with the Expeditions vision.
• Ensure operations, attendance, safety, and compliance during Expeditions.
