Summit Public Schools seeks a Dean of Expeditions to lead the Expeditions program at the Seattle site, overseeing approximately 10 faculty and staff and managing community partnerships that create real-world learning for students. The role requires a systems-focused leader with strong communication, project and people management skills, and a commitment to Summit’s mission of rigorous, equitable education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• A Teaching Credential in the relevant state is required.
• Commitment to uphold Summit’s values and provide equitable education.
• Community organizing and/or school leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in project and people management preferred.
• Experience with school operations and compliance preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Platforms (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Clear health and background check required.

Responsabilités

• Lead as Acting Executive Director for 8 weeks per year.
• Coach Expeditions staff and partners, ensure staff PD planning.
• Coordinate with network leadership and other Deans on curriculum and scheduling.
• Develop and manage community partnerships with standards for safety and quality.
• Oversee student scheduling and mentorship reflection aligned with CNS goals.
• Promote a strong, collaborative school culture and restorative practices.
• Ensure operational compliance and attendance reporting throughout Expeditions.
