Job summary

Centric Events in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Event Drapery Specialist & Department Lead to guide drape installations, manage pipe-and-drape systems, and oversee linen inventory.

This hands-on leadership role requires coordinating crews, maintaining department readiness and standards, and solving on-site challenges with professionalism.

You’ll work with Event Leads, Project Managers, and warehouse staff to deliver polished, on-brand environments for weddings, galas, and corporate events.

Qualifications

• Experience installing event draping, pipe and drape, or similar environments.
• Ability to lead a drape installation and crew from load-in to completion.
• Strong understanding of pipe-and-drape systems and professional techniques.
• Excellent attention to visual detail and presentation.
• Comfortable working from ladders and at height.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Valid driver's license meeting company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation and strike of professional event draping for multiple events.
• Build and manage pipe-and-drape systems, backdrops, and room treatments.
• Steaming, dressing, and finishing drape to project specifications.
• Review plans, diagrams, and pull sheets to ensure design accuracy.
• Provide technical direction to setup crews for efficient installations.
• Oversee drape and linen inventory, organization, and readiness.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Event Leads, and warehouse staff.
