Job summary

Commercial Comm and Electric in Phoenix is seeking an Electrical Apprenticeship Program Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom and lab instruction to electrical apprentices. You will share your electrical experience, maintain safety standards, and help students master NEC knowledge in residential, commercial, and industrial contexts.

Curriculum is provided; you will bring a positive attitude, mentor learners, and align teaching with NEC updates and industry practices.

Qualifications

Strong NEC knowledge and safety emphasis are required.
Experience teaching or mentoring adult learners in electrical trades.
Teaching certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.
Must have hands-on electrical experience across residential/commercial/industrial areas.

Responsibilities

Deliver classroom instruction in electrical theory, NEC code requirements and best practices.
Conduct hands-on lab training for residential, commercial, and industrial systems.
Enforce electrical safety standards including OSHA and NFPA 70E.
Prepare and align lesson plans with apprenticeship standards and objectives.
Evaluate apprentice performance through exams and skill demonstrations.
Maintain attendance, grades and student progress records.
Stay current with NEC updates and industry developments.
Mentor apprentices and support their career development.
Collaborate with program administrators, employers and instructors.
Ensure safe, organized and properly equipped classroom and lab environments.
