Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking a validation engineer to drive subsystem validation, ensuring product requirements are met and driving improvements. You will coordinate with Technical Specialists and design teams to align subsystem validation with system-level hardware goals and communicate progress to stakeholders.

The role emphasizes post-test teardown participation, DRBTR involvement, and robust reporting to capture lessons learned and update requirements and FMEAs for future programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and two years of related experience.
• One year of experience with FMEA, laboratory operations, fixture design, test equipment and setups, automotive hardware analysis, development and validation, DFMEA/DRBTR, laboratory methods, and virtual/CAE results.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation of a product subsystem to prove requirements are met.
• Discover and highlight deficiencies to enable improvements.
• Develop, plan, approve, and communicate validation progress to targets.
• Work on subsystem validation and relate to system hardware with TS/TIE support.
• Participate in post-test teardown and DRBTR.
