Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a skilled engineer to deliver high-quality consumer charging mechatronic components from design through production launch. You will design and implement comprehensive test setups, perform bench- and vehicle-level validation, and develop custom tools for power and thermal validation.

You will analyze electrical safety, system integration, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust design and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

• BSEE or MS in Mechatronics Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of automotive hardware development experience.
• Experience with power electronics and system-level validation.

Responsibilities

• Support vehicle prototype builds, product launch, and service issues related to charging hardware and power electronics.
• Develop and execute test plans and custom testing tools for bench and vehicle validation.
• Perform circuit simulations and power studies using LTSpice, MATLAB, and other tools.
• Lead system-level analysis of connectors, relays, and thermal management of charging hardware.
• Collaborate with DR teams to ensure hardware/software compatibility and regulatory compliance.
