Job summary

Live Oak Power is seeking a Chief Estimator in Riverside, CA to lead estimating for underground and electrical utility projects. You will manage the estimating department, set strategies, and ensure timely, competitive bids while supporting project teams.

The role demands senior-level expertise, strong leadership, and collaboration with executives to drive profitability and project success across a range of civil infrastructure opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in general civil construction.
• 3-5+ years of experience in civil construction preferred.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
• Legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating and preconstruction process for civil projects.
• Oversee development of accurate, timely estimates and bids.
• Review plans and documents to define scope and risks.
• Lead pre-bid meetings and final estimate reviews with leadership.
• Provide estimating expertise during construction and change orders.
• Develop and mentor estimating staff and improve practices.
