Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Lead Estimator in Houston, TX, to drive comprehensive cost estimates for heavy industrial construction projects. The role requires extensive experience in EPCM environments, leading a team of estimators, and proficiency with estimating tools and MS Office.

The successful candidate will deliver accurate estimates, coordinate with engineering, and support project gate reviews while adhering to global and regional estimating guidelines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in an estimating role, preferably on medium/large multi-discipline EPCM projects.
• Experience leading a team of estimators.
• Heavy industrial estimating experience.
• Knowledge of EPC/LSTK estimating techniques.
• Strong MS Office and estimating tools experience.
• Site experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand estimating scope of work, deliverables, schedule, and estimate classifications.
• Develop the estimate plan and initiate kick-off.
• Coordinate MTO deliverables with engineering.
• Deliver accurate estimates per procedures and standards.
• Perform bottom-up calculations of direct/indirect costs.
• Establish escalation/contingency requirements.
• Prepare Basis of Estimate and client presentations.
• Maintain and upgrade estimating database.
• Input to Gate Release Meetings.
