Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate has prior experience on heavy industrial construction projects and demonstrates leadership of estimators within an EPCM framework.

Responsibilities include developing comprehensive estimates, coordinating with engineering, and presenting Basis of Estimate to clients while ensuring alignment with global estimating guidelines and project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• 10 years in estimating, medium/large multi-discipline EPCM projects.
• Experience leading a team of estimators.
• Preferred: electrical estimating discipline.
• Heavy industrial experience required.
• Strong MS Office skills; familiarity with estimating software.
• Site experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of EPC/LSTK estimating techniques.
• Collaborate to develop innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand estimating scope of work, deliverables, schedule, and report formats.
• Develop estimate plan and initiate kickoff meetings.
• Coordinate MTO deliverables with engineering.
• Deliver accurate estimates per procedures and classifications.
• Perform bottom-up calculation of direct and indirect costs.
• Establish project escalation and contingency requirements.
• Calculate cash expenditure and escalation over the project duration.
• Attend estimate review meetings and present Basis of Estimate.
