Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to manage full-cycle estimating for ground-up commercial projects in Grand Rapids, MI. You will develop detailed estimates across multiple trades and independently manage several active bids.

The ideal candidate will review drawings and specifications, price labor/materials/equipment, and coordinate with project teams to deliver accurate bids and smooth handoffs. Ground-up commercial estimating required.

Formación

• Five+ years of estimating experience on ground-up commercial projects.
• Full-cycle estimating from scope review to handoff.
• Ability to prepare detailed, accurate estimates independently.
• Proficient in Bluebeam takeoffs, review of docs, and bid prep.
• Advanced Excel skills for data organization and templates.
• Ability to read multi-trade drawings and specifications.
• Experience soliciting and leveling subcontractor bids.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare conceptual, negotiated, and competitive bid estimates.
• Manage estimating from initial review through pricing and handoff.
• Analyze drawings, specs, contracts to define project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price labor, materials, equipment.
• Read architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and other drawings.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor bids for comparison.
• Maintain bid schedules and ensure coverage across trades.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and visit sites as needed.
• Collaborate with Project Managers during preconstruction and planning.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Follow bidding procedures and quality-control standards.
• Manage multiple estimates for several projects simultaneously.
