Job summary

S.A. Morman in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare material quantity takeoffs for commercial construction projects across Michigan. You will collaborate with the Sales team to deliver accurate estimates for Construction Managers and General Contractors.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural drawings and project specifications.
• Prepare accurate, detailed material quantity takeoffs based on project scope.
• Review bid documents to identify project requirements and potential issues.
• Work closely with the Sales team to ensure bids are completed accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, contractors, coworkers and management.
• Identify and solve problems throughout the estimating process.
• Manage multiple bids and priorities simultaneously.
• Utilize Microsoft Office programs and other estimating tools as required.
