Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Construction Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates and budgets for commercial projects in West Michigan and beyond. You will collaborate with preconstruction, operations, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive pricing.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture, 3+ years of estimating experience, and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office. You will contribute to bid proposals and cost-saving solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction.
• Experience with ground-up and/or major renovation projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed cost analyses.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents for scope completeness.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Assist with bid preparation, proposal development, and client presentations.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners.
• Support project teams during preconstruction and project handoff activities.
