Job summary

Aecon Group is seeking a Lead Estimator - Structures for its Civil US Projects division based in Kent, Washington. The role centers on bidding heavy civil projects with strong bridge structure emphasis, including reading drawings and coordinating with suppliers and subs.

A university degree or equivalent experience is required, with significant estimating background in civil construction. The position reports to the Estimating Manager and offers a comprehensive benefit package, travel as needed,

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in civil construction with bridge structures.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and documents.
• Strong knowledge of job cost fundamentals and estimating processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure bid costs are accurate versus actual costs.
• Analyze documents, drawings, specifications, proposals for pricing.
• Prepare construction plans for internal and client submissions.
• Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors and compile estimates.
• Maintain estimating data systems and compliance with risk policies.
• Support RFPs, prequalifications, RFIs, and bid submissions.
