Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking an experienced commercial construction estimator based in the United States, ideally within 50 miles of the office. The role focuses on interior tenant fit-outs, with preference for retail tenant fit-outs, and involves managing estimates from bid through contract execution.

You will review drawings, issue RFIs, negotiate with subcontractors, and coordinate with clients and team members using Procore and the Microsoft suite. Travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in commercial construction.
• 8–10 years in commercial construction estimating.
• Experience with interior tenant fit-outs required.
• Residence within a 50-mile radius of the office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review construction drawings and bid documents to quickly identify, comprehend, and address project requirements.
• Develop and issue RFIs relating to construction drawings and bid documents.
• Negotiate final contracts with subcontractors regarding scope, pricing, and terms.
• Interact professionally and effectively with clients and subcontractors throughout the estimating and construction process.
• Communicate and over-communicate with team members and clients to ensure alignment and keep projects moving forward.
• Utilize construction management software programs, such as Procore, to support estimating and project activities.
• Utilize Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
• Travel as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Duties:

Education & Experience:

• 10–15 years of experience in commercial construction.
• 8–10 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Experience with interior tenant fit-outs required.
• Retail tenant fit-out experience preferred.
• Position requires residence within a 50-mile radius of the office location.
• Some travel will be required.
