Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an experienced commercial construction estimator to lead bids from concept through contract execution. The role focuses on interior tenant fit-outs, with a strong emphasis on retail projects and coordination with clients and subs.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in commercial construction, 8–10 years in estimating, and is highly organized with excellent negotiation and communication skills. Some travel and residence within 50 miles of the office are expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review drawings and bid documents to identify project requirements.
• Develop and issue RFIs for drawings and bid documentation.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors on scope, price, and terms.
• Interact professionally with clients and subcontractors throughout the process.
• Communicate with team members and clients to keep projects moving forward.
• Use Procore and Microsoft Office tools to support estimating and project activities.
• Travel as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Join a team where your commercial construction estimating experience, organizational skills, and ability to manage projects from bid through contract execution will contribute to successful construction projects. This role is ideal for an experienced estimator with a strong background in commercial construction, particularly interior tenant fit-outs and, preferably, retail tenant fit-outs.

Duties:

Including but not limited to:

• Prepare comprehensive estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review construction drawings and bid documents to quickly identify, comprehend, and address project requirements.
• Develop and issue RFIs relating to construction drawings and bid documents.
• Negotiate final contracts with subcontractors regarding scope, pricing, and terms.
• Interact professionally and effectively with clients and subcontractors throughout the estimating and construction process.
• Communicate and over-communicate with team members and clients to ensure alignment and keep projects moving forward.
• Utilize construction management software programs, such as Procore, to support estimating and project activities.
• Utilize Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
• Travel as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficient in working with various construction management software programs, such as Procore.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to negotiate subcontractor contracts related to scope, price, and terms.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Strong ability to quickly review, comprehend, and issue RFIs related to construction drawings and bid documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Deadline-driven and able to prioritize work effectively.

• Willing and able to travel as required.

Education & Experience:

• 10-15 years of experience in commercial construction.
• 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Experience with interior tenant fit-outs required.
• Retail tenant fit-out experience preferred.
• Position requires residence within a 50-mile radius of the office location.
• Some travel will be required.
