Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Senior Lead Estimator to drive comprehensive estimate development for multifamily and commercial projects in the Baltimore area. You will manage budgets from initial planning through final pricing, coordinating with owners, designers, trade partners, and construction personnel.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in construction estimating and takeoffs, with strong proficiency in Excel, MS Project, and estimating software.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience preparing construction estimates and budgets.
• 5–7 years of experience completing material quantity takeoffs.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and supporting documents.
• Experience managing conceptual pricing, negotiated estimates, and competitive bids.
• Experience defining trade scopes, obtaining subcontractor proposals, and comparing pricing.
• Ability to identify scope omissions, cost risks, and construction challenges.
• Knowledge of historical costs, unit pricing, and value engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and construction estimating software.
• Ability to document estimate assumptions, allowances, exclusions, and pricing alternatives.
• Experience coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and operations teams.
• Ability to manage concurrent estimating deadlines and communicate budget information clearly.
• Availability for site reviews and coordination during project handoffs and subcontractor buyout.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of accurate construction estimates and budgets for multifamily and commercial projects.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain proposals and finalize pricing.
• Identify risks, omissions, and pricing variances; document assumptions and exclusions.
• Manage multiple estimating deadlines and communicate budget status to stakeholders.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure scope completeness and competitive pricing.
• Support handoffs and buyout coordination with construction teams and clients.
