Prince Contracting, part of the FlatironDragados group, is expanding into GA and seeks a Lead Estimator focused on GDOT and heavy civil projects.

You will lead pursuit and estimating activities, ensuring cost efficient quantities and practices meet pursuit, schedule, and pricing goals. A Bachelor's in engineering or construction management is required, with strong knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.
• Experience leading pursuit and estimating activities for large or complex projects, ideally with GDOT as client.

Responsabilidades

• Lead pursuit and estimating activities, ensuring cost effective quantities and practices meet goals.
• Review proposals, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and required estimate contents.
• Incorporate historical data from POs, subcontracts, and productivity reports into unit and hour figures.
• Provide technical and industry knowledge on risk, contract management, owner relationships, and vendor/subcontractor partnerships.
• Organize and supervise estimating teams to prepare bids and select vendors or subs.
• Delegate review of project/regulatory requirements to meet disadvantaged business and minority participation.
• Calculate material quantities from engineering drawings and support hand-off between pursuit and project teams.
• Collaborate with team to conduct project hand-off meetings between pursuit and project management.

Resulting in the completion of hundreds of highways, roads, and bridge projects for satisfied clients.

As part of the FlatironDragados group we are currently expanding our presence into the GA market and looking for someone experienced in pricing GDOT and/or heavy civil projects to take the lead on our upcoming pursuits.

As the Lead Estimator at Prince Contracting, you will lead pursuit and estimating activities, ensuring that cost efficient quantities and construction practices meet our pursuit, schedule and pricing goals.

Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.

Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports into unit and person-hour figures.

Provides technical and industry knowledge towards risk, contract management, owner relationships and vendor or subcontractor partnerships.

Organizes and supervises estimating teams to prepare bids, select vendors or subcontractors and determine cost effectiveness of project to bid.

Delegates review of project and appropriate regulations required to construct the project to meet disadvantages business requirements and minority participation agreements.

Calculates material quantity requirements from engineering drawing dimensions.

Partners with estimating team to prepare and conduct project hand-off meetings between pursuit team and project management team.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.

• Experience leading pursuit and estimating activities for large or complex projects - ideally with GDOT as the client
• Construction, design, finance and management experience required.
• Expert knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software.
• Able to lead pursuit and estimating activities on a large or complex pursuit project.
• Expert knowledge of best practices to control and reduce pursuit costs, quantities and risk.
• Advanced knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
