Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a Lead Emergency Veterinarian in Hoboken, NJ. You will work with a hospital medical director to drive clinical excellence, mentor doctors, and uphold VEG’s patient-centered approach.

You’ll lead teams, ensure timely doctor access for emergencies, and contribute to an environment that values growth, mentorship, and compassionate care. You’ll balance clinical shifts with leadership duties, focusing on staff development, quality care, and VEG’s trademark

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ER experience and critical case management required.
• One year leadership experience preferred.
• Training in emergency surgery/endoscopy.

Responsabilités

• Work clinical shifts as an emergency veterinarian.
• Answer medical questions over the phone and with clients.
• See patients promptly under VEG Spikes and provide diagnostic/therapeutic plans.
• Communicate diagnoses and treatment options to customers.
• Coach fellow doctors and mentor team members.
• Create and review medical records for accuracy.
• Lead monthly doctor meetings and M&M rounds with MD guidance.
• Own scheduling and coverage planning for the hospital.
