Job summary

Micron Technology in Idaho is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve manufacturing equipment in a brand-new, high-precision fab. You will collaborate with Shift Operations, area equipment engineers, and tool vendors to ensure reliable tool performance and uptime.

This role emphasizes safety, housekeeping, and project leadership to meet scope, schedule, and budget expectations, with 12-hour shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, or related systems.
• Ability to lead projects related to equipment maintenance and improvement.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to day/night rotation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and address preventative maintenance needs for equipment performance.
• Identify performance gaps and implement strategic improvements while documenting deviations.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the cleanroom area and ensure proper storage.
• Participate in teams focused on improving equipment availability and implementing initiatives.
• Attend training to improve understanding of semiconductor tools.
• Stand for long periods, lift 25–40 lbs occasionally, and navigate safely.
• Wear PPE and maintain a safe, contamination-free environment.
• Lead projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget expectations.
