Job summary

Frost Valley YMCA seeks a hands-on Equestrian Supervisor to oversee a herd of 20-90 horses and the operation of the Equestrian Center at Main Camp and East Valley Ranch. Responsibilities include coordinating weekend trail rides, program support for summer camps, and staff supervision to ensure safety and quality.

You will implement CHA/ACA standards, maintain records, and collaborate with other departments to meet guest needs and program retention.

Qualifications

• Maintain and care for a herd of 20-90 horses throughout the year (varies seasonally).
• Possess ability to categorize horses by temperament, training and condition for staff use and guest safety.
• Maintain accurate health, training, and usage records for each horse.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekend equestrian programming and on-call emergencies.
• Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising seasonal barn staff.
• Coordinate with other departments for barn and equestrian needs.
